Poppycock! cut to the chase and use 1/4oz of chopped top bud...

If the "worse" pot can yield great treats, how did you convert something of little THC value to potent treats? -something out of nothing...
Now, the bottom of a bag of quality trimmings is a different story -lots of trichomes there!

It's all in the absorbtion. 1st, you've released the THC into the butter so it's easier for the body to absorb. 2nd, 100% of that THC will go to your stomach. Not a 3 second inhale and exhale.

Trust me. I've been doing this for years. I usually save my crumbs for 6 months and throw them all in.

Cosmic, I am only 3 hours away. Get in yer car and come to Chico, you'll be eating treats and your words by 4:20.;)

Mister Earl is known to make some mighty fine and shaky chocolate chip pecan cookies, known is these parts as gorilla biscuits. Stick you shaky in the food processor until it has the same consistancy as flour. Substitute about 1/3 of the real flour with the shaky and follow the recipe on the back of the semi-sweet chocolate chip bag. Use a little extra vanilla extract to cover your leafy taste. Yum Yum. Got Milk?

So Earl. Help us out. What form of pot do YOU use.

Cosmic says he uses sticky green bud. I say it's not necessary.

I pretty much use whatever shakey-leafage-stuff I have left over.

How 'bout you??

ALSO, I notice you don't simmer you shakey in butter? Why not? I think that is the prescribed method....

I, of course, disavow any knowledge of ever participating in this thread. However as a former genlteman farmer, I would have excess leafage that I just hated to go to waste. It was plenty potent and pleasurable, not to mention free! I'm sure there's an argument to be made for using danky nugs in terms of potency, but it's hard to pass around a cookie.

I say, save your nugs. They taste so sweet when you smoke 'em through that big glass bong w/ ice water in it.

Cook those otherwise useless leaves and old bud shake.

Just my way of thinking.

I'd never Braise a Leg of Lamb with a Latour either.

this conversation is categorically unfair since direwolf quit after his wrecking his leg while partaking of the fine green leaf.

(ok, i'm just jealous, i'll admit it)

The good thing about butter is, use what you need, fridge the remainder. Toss it on a pizza or in pasta...mmmm mmmmm good cracker! Plus, the oil breaks down any leafy texture which may be present.

Not at ALL arguing with the eating aspect, just the source of the thc for cooking - btw, I usually hold a hit for at LEAST a minute (no kidding-great "runners" lungs)in a 4-5 person circle, I'm still holding the hitski when it gets back to me).
And while a-hittin, I catch that usually wasted "air" puff at the end of da draw. Hmmm...Chico.

Using yer sticky nugs to make treats is like using Filet Mignon to make a hamburger. Overkill...

my rule of thumb is that each brownie (since thats what I've made + tchchilliconcarne) has 1gram of bud...
Overkill? Perhaps....expensive? Only if you lack gardening experience. Then I can see going the cheaper route, who wants to spend $40-60 on 1 batch?

First, I thought tchchiliconcarne was some scientific term. But, it's just a formula for pot-farts.

Yeah, 1 gram/per treat sounds good. Mine comes close to that. I guess there really is no such thing as overkill, when it comes to this topic, but I KNOW mine work...and I can get the shake-shake for free.

In fact, I've had folks complain about these treats being too stony. My buddy in Elk Grove won't even eat them anymore. He's convince they are spiked w/ more than bud.

lol! yeah, the chili pot-fart recipe. Most canned Chili has plenty of oil which the tch binds to. Works great also, even after you crash, just pull dem covers over your head for a repise-lol Share with that special lady too!
